Rear Defroster Running Slow
The rear defroster on my 95 SE is working very slow. Anyone know what I need to do, or fix, to get it back to normal??

Not really sure what you mean by slow.....are you timing how long it takes to remove condensation of the inside, or outside of the glass?
I can't imagine a situation where it would run slow, except for corrosion on connectors. Any missing lines in the pattern that it defogs?

Sorry it took me so long Wil, but I wanted to make sure.
I used to turn on the defroster in the morning with dew/condesation on the outside of the window....it would be clear in no time flat. (2 or 3 minutes)
Now, on my way to work today, there was condesation on the outside of the window. It'* taking a lot longer than it used to in terms of completely clearing the back window. (12-15 minutes).
There are no missing lines in the pattern of the window (they all clear uniformally).
You mentioned bad connections??(where at)
Could the relay be bad itself?
I hope this is a little more descriptive.
Eric

I don't think there'* anything wrong. Get your girl in the back seat and steam the windows up real good. Then turn it on (the defroster, not the girl). How long does it take? It'* not designed to clear the OUTSIDE of the glass. Whether it'* effective at that or not depends on the amount and temperature of the moisture out there. Sometimes it'll go quick, sometimes not.
Inside will be quick always. Not as much moisture.

Sounds good to me....I'll "get on that" this weekend and tell you what happens (about the defroster of course).
Now that you mention it I do remember me and my buddies getting in the car after playing some basketball last winter. It fogged up on the inside real quick, and the defroster worked good and cleared it up in no time.......beacuse it was on the inside. I see what you mean about it being designed for the inside only.
I see what you're saying now....and maybe I don't have a problem.
I'm defenetly going to do the experiment though!!
