Check engine light question
Last week my check engine light went on - cylinder #2 was misfiring(the car would hesitate after 1/4 throttle). Since the car has 114K on it, I went and replaced the plugs(autolite 605) & wires . The car runs fine now but the check engine light is still on. Is this something the dealer has to reset (I always thought once the battery was disconnected , it clears out the codes).

how long was the battery disconnected? try like 30 minutes. if that still doesnt work, go to a local autozone, have them pull the codes with a scanner, and then tell them to clear the codes.

I would get it scanned again just to make sure that it was the same code just stored and not something else. I generally leave my battery disconnected for about 10-15 min to be sure....But Auto zone or where ever you go to get your codes read can delete it for you if you can't do it with just disconnecting the battery.
