i have the air system in my car which does not work.i was wondering if i can just change them to normal shocks and struts.i was thinking about bilstein or KYB.does anybody know if these two company make them for our cars and if anybody know the part # to them?my car is a 95 ssei.

Good question to ask. I will happily answer it for you. Since you have the air system, I am sure it is possible to change out to the stock shocks in the back. But there is no company that makes bolt in aftermarket struts/shocks for our cars. I am going to be doing my own custom Koni setup for my own car, and depending on the price I will offer it to other members on the board. There is one other option for you. There is one company that does make air struts for our cars (1990 - 1999 Bonneville'*) so you can make a complete airbag system for your car. If you do not want to do this, I suggest you get new air shocks or rip one off a junked Bonneville and wait till I can figure out what Koni'* fit on our cars. I am not sure when I will be able to get it done and figured out but most likely sometime in August when I have more time and money to do this kind of modification. If you want to know where to get the airbag struts, the company is called AIM Industries. I have the bookmark on my computer I believe, so if you want it I can either email it to you or post in on the board so everyone can check it out. I hope this helps answer your question and sorry for it being so long but I wanted to make sure I answered every question or possibility for our (your) car(*). KYB makes a passive rear stock strut. It will fit. You can get them anywhere you want. You can also call your dealer to ask them for the stock rear passive struts. Oh they are struts not shocks, just incase anyone at a tire store asks. To confirm my info you should call your dealer or KYB. I think Blisten makes one too. On the net I have found them for $43.00 each.

I had to use the sse option but both sse and ssei have the same rear system. You will need to disconnect your adjustable rear suspension but the dealer can tell you how to do it properly even if it doesn’t work.. Its easy as pulling a plug.

I also have a connection with a fellow who will for a reasonable price rebuild or sell you the products to rebuild your air system. This is cheaper than air struts from Aim, but air struts from AIM are cooler and also adjust the front.

I just got of the phone with PST and they told me that they have front and rear struts in KYB.the price seem to be a little high for me($90 each for the frpnt and $60 each for the back)they also told me that I need a strut bushing which they do not carry or sell.does anybody know if I get these they will bolt right up to the car, do I need these strut bushing or is there ones on the car that I can reuse? Does anybody know were I can maybe get these products someplace else at a lower price? Thanks
