Default QDM, Occasional Ck Eng Light

Yeah..
I was clipping along just into the triple digits last Thursday and had to stop quick. Look down and the check engine light is on. All other gauges are fine. I gave it a quick test rev and the motor was still there. W/o turning it off I got it scanned. QDM module complaining. Once I turn it off and back on the light is gone. Ahjhhhhh easy fix.

This weekend Randman says, "hey, check engine light", I go over the story and he says it might be one of the items controlled by the quad mod causing the issue or a bad pcm. The light plagues us most of the day w/no consistent thing turning it on. Consistently turning off once start up occurs, just like it'* supposed to.

Only thing I know for certain so far is that previously my TC off light was always coming on after a moment of dry condition driving, would always work great in wet conditions. The TC light didn't come on at all when the check engine QDM code was lighting up my life.

Going to aim toward Randy'* ideas suggestions but always looking for more ideas. C'mon vets...lets have the list of ideas.

That would be good to know.

And your TC is unrelated. It doesn't communicate with the PCM.

When you let us know which QDM it is, we can dig further. And all the answers are already posted here

Ok vets, here'* the deal it'* your average 0640 Quad Driver Module, QDM 1 Fault

FSM says see A-144 (aka the reclining seat section)???

So guys...TCC is internal right? Although we should have a connector on the outside for me to check and I'm all over the charcoal canister. Any other suggestions?

What the heck does the PCM have to do with the seats? Electrical is 8A-xxx. Are you sure they're pointing you to the electrical section or maybe a mechanical section within the area you;re currently in?

OK, I'll edit my post too:

Are those the only two items controled by that QDM as shown by your FSM? Fuddy had a 93 so it might be a bit different than yours.

TCC Solenoid is an internal part....with an internal plug I believe.....the classic 6 dollar part but 10 hr job as you have to remove the d/* pan on the side of the trans to access it. If I remember correctly.

My advice is just drive it for a while.....My car threw out every QDM code there is, and I never did anything about them. They just worked themselves out and haven't seen one come up in about 5-6 mos.
