Bonneville Fender Replacement
Anyone know how much difficulty is involved in replacing a front driver'* side fender on a '97 SLE? It had an unfortunate run in with an inanimate object, and I don't want o pay the body shop outrageous money...

It'* not too bad.
I have seen a couple of 92-95'* done and think they are about the same.
There are a couple bolts at the bottom of the fender behind the tire. The wheelwell needs to come out to get to a few more. And there are three more that hold the bumper cover to the fender in the front. Other than those, there are a few across the top of the fender when you lift the hood.
If you are interested in doing the swap this weekend and would be interested in help, I'm in Enfield and have a semi heated garage.

Guys, I need to get behind the wheelwell to bump and dolly out a minor crease in the right front. fender lip. It'* about at the centerline of the axle. It extends up about 3" from the bottom of the fender curve for the wheel.
Do I have to take the whole wheelwelll off for this, or can I just remove the bolts from the wheelwell to the fender and push the wheelwell up a bit?
thanks.

I'd love ot come up, but I don't have the fender yet. I'm just trying to figure out the best course of action. I've got replace the headlight setup, do the fender, and eventually, fix the corner of the hood.
