'93 lesabre tranny line breakage.
continued from here:
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=77466
i figured my rant was getting to be more technical orientated, and figured i should move it here. hopefully i can turn this mechanical setback into a performance upgrade... woot.
i've inspected the car and found that the transmission lines are indeed blown. right where the hard metal lines crimp onto the rubber sections. i've decided to completly replace the whole cooler and lines as a unit.
i've got an aftermarket oil/tranny cooler and a pair of brass barbed fittings for the transmission. i plan on re routing the tranny lines around the radiator to the tranny cooler mounted up behind the grill.
after i've replaced the lines how should i go about getting fluid back into the transmission? should i just fill it up and let it run a bit and keep toping it off until it'* full. should i fill the cooler with fluid before intalling it.?
if this works i'll also be pulling the adjustable modulator off the van and installing it on the buick.
the buick will live again! i'm a loser!
