Default Coolant problem, no leak

Hi I have a 95 SE and we recently flushed the radiator and put in new antifreeze and a thermometer but now with the cold weather my car has been overheating and refusing to put out hot air. My plastic anti freeze tank has not been going down and I think I need to put some anti freeze into the radiator because all signs point to low anti freeze but im not sure please help thanks!!

Sounds like your thermostat isn't opening.

Default replaced it

I did just replace it, I know it could go bad but when we flushed it and added the coolant we didnt check the raiator the next day, is it possible I just need coolant directly into the radiator? The problem is also exactly the same as 3 months ago and when we put in antifreeze it was fixed. My uncle is exceelent with cars and says that I need antifreeze in the radiator so when I check how will I know if the radiator is low and how much should i put in?? thanks!

You should fill the system to the proper level..

Radiator should be full and the overflow tank should be up to the cold mark when the car is cold.

Please see the coolant system procedure for filling and bleeding air out of the system in TechInfo.

And don't drive the car until you get things topped off and working right.
