Default a few new problems (heat, lights)

ok so my dash lights have stopd working. they flickerd now and then now they just quit it seems. also my heat dosent seem to work anymore (figures now that it snowd) anyone got any cheap fixes im kinda broke just paid 340 for my gf'* control module.

Yes.. fix the water, from your signature. "once i find out were all the leaks are comming from and why its so wet in the car."

This could be your problem. At the driverside door..just under the carpet is the main ground buss. Most likely it'* corroded and not making a connection. When that happens..things don't work.

There are 2-3 threads in Electrical about this in the last week. Search on ground and buss...should help you out. On the water leaks.. JR's3800 found every possible leak area know to the cars... I'll see if I can link up his thread also

Bill'* right, John. Most, if not all of your problems are likely caused by the water in your car. Find those leaks, dry out the car, and clean up that buss bar. Then see if you have any problems left.

well i put water in the car cuz i saw it was running a lil hot (needed it) and now the heat works fine.
and my dash lights mysteriously came back on and are working again.

tho car is starting to smell need to clean it and try drying/.

stupid question is there anything i can do to keep a crack in the winshield from spreading?\

ps: anyone know how much it would cost to have someone find and fix the leaks? (prolly coming threw the door'*)

You're in Rhode Island? Quite a few members in the general area. They can help you with the leaks if you go to one of the meets.

Replace the WS. There is no way to prevent the crack from spreading.
