Default Intake failure...i have the coolant problem..not just oil!!

yep...it'* official..i have a failed intake...earliest i can get the parts is mid-week..i'll start the repair the next day...with work i'll have to leave it to dad...i'll pick up on it Saturday and sunday. I hope it will take no more than 4 days.Gonna try to get as many pics as possible... My poor baby..i waxed her today...she'll look good when she goes under the wrench.

Good luck, and keep us posted. Are you doing the lower intake gaskets, too?

Even with those, it CAN be done in 1 day. 2 is more than reasonable. I've done it myself on Jseabert'* car twice.

here here. 2 days tops. 1 w/o trouble. just make sure you don't break that littlt plastic elbow that goes to the lower intake... dealer only...

and please, for the love of your car - do the lowers!

Check out my post on what I found when I did the job last week.
Seriously consider doing the lowers and change that coolant elbow too.
That little elbow if it fails "will" get you stuck on the road.

not to mention its all to ready to break when your removing the lower - at least in my case. had to miss a day of work over that one

it'* a 97 SE....70,810 miles exactly. I talked to a mechanic he said it shouldn't take too long to do. i'll do the lower gaskets too... Thanks Guys...

Glad to hear your also doing the lowers. This should make the car a lot more reliable
