on my 92 p/a, I have 0 psi at the rail. I haven't checked the relay. but with 180k miles, i strongly suspect the fp itself.

a carter from murrays is $100. but the online flea-bay pumps are the same. should i get a 255? or just go with the carter?

or should i spend the extra money on an oe pump?

Howdy there Sam. you should make sure that the test wire near the relay is hot with a bulb voltage tester for a few seconds when you turn the key to the run position. Just to be sure that the pump is really dead.. It might not be getting voltage due to a problem with a connector after the relay. We always use a lower/lowest priced replacement from auto zone and o reilly auto parts and have on so many different vehicles over the years that we have replaced the pumps in for customers with no problem ever thus far. Most ppl will say higher priced= higher quality.. but sometimes it doesnt matter all that much and loer priced works just fine. if your engine is stock, or at least your fuel system and related parts then a stock replacement pump would be more than adequate D anymore questions or info needed then just let me know good luck!

I deffinatly vote for the oem from gm parts direct. 129 shipped. Why take the chance on the ebay one? I wouldnt want to drop that tank more then once. as for an update i went with the carter. despite the poll results. i went with the carter b.c. it has a lifetime warr, and if i shoul it fail, it will be much easier for me to drive 2 miles to the parts store, rather than deal with E-bay, or the delco warranty.

plus, i got it fo $80.

Why did you choose either pump without troubleshooting the system?

bc, i dont want to risk it. considering it has 180k miles, i want a new one in there anyway. and it will fix my right turn issue as well, cuz i got a new tank. $60 new, i couldnt see passing it up for that much.

i just checked it. the fuse was good. i switched the relay with the p.window relay, and nothing. then i check between pin 30 and ground. it was open. so, my suspicion was correct. FP failed.
