Rear brakes, etc.
Hello again.
Sunday a.m. I went out to my '93 SSE after work and could not get it out of park. I pushed the brake pedal repeatedly, and with ever greater force, for about an hour, 'til I finally got it into gear. Yay!
Boo! The right rear wheel is locked up. I didn't want to take off my gloves, as the temp was single digits, plus right by the river, PLUS a stiff steady wind. I hate winter.
Anyway. I've got it up in the air, wheel off. Is there an easy way to back off the brake shoe, or am I screwed and doomed to cutting it off? You folks have been real helpful in the past, and I'm counting on learning from the experience, strength, and hope of others so that I don't have to learn the hard lessons myself.
Thanks in advance.

From my '92 SSE Factory service manual:
a. Make sure parking brake is released
b. Back off parking brake cable adjustment
c. Remove access hole plug from backing plate. Insert a screwdriver
through the hole and press in to push the park brake lever off its
stop. This lets the shoe and linings retract slightly
d. Apply a small amount of penetrating oil around the drum pilot hole
e. Insert a punch tool through hole at bottom of splash shield. Tap it
gently to loosen the drum.
