Can anyone tell me where the map sensor is on a 94 SSE?

No, that'* the MAF sensor. Not the MAP sensor.

The 94 L27 shouldn't have a MAP sensor to my knowledge. Only the L36. 92-95 L67'* only got a MAP sensor if they had a boost gauge (SSEi'* only). Supercharged SE/SLE/SSE models from 92-95 have no boost gauge and hence no MAP sensor.

I believe the MAP sensor was added when the transition to a full OBD2 PCM was made. The 95 L36, however, may have one.

96 and up Series II L36'* have the MAP sensors located on the left side of UIM plenum (as you face the engine from front of car). The PCV is housed just below the MAP sensor.
