Is there enough left to be repaired & still useable by the existing fuel filter? In other words can it be cut & re-flared?

Well you could try my suggestion, then if that fails you will then have to replace the entire line or cut back the existing line to a point where you can add a second line that can be flared to mate with the fuel filter.

Sounds like its rusted a lot inside, replace the hole thing, otherwise it'll jsut happen again, or you'll get rust in the line.

I would get the part from the dealer. From the filter to the fuel rail. That way you can use the OEM filter. It'll be surprisingly affordable.

I don't have the part number for that part. Sorry.

Rat, you should know that fuel lines/rails should NOT be repaired at all. My chilton says that a billion times. Makes sense too, i'd get the OEM one, not a generic kit either.

They CAN be repaired though if you pressure fittings. I've done it for for vehicles that parts are no longer available.

The fuel lines on my '92 SE are plastic at the fuel filter.

In fact, the only metal lines are at the tank and engine.

I repaired a leaking line with a kit found at Pep Boys.

Did GM switch back to all metal lines for the newer Bonnevilles
?
