MAF screen removal
ok, i got the little sob out, but now if i rev the car, it will stall out. and i'm not sure but i think it might be running a bit on the rich side... anyone know how much a new MAF screen costs??? anyone have any idea why carbon builds up on the back side of the throttle body plate???

Yeah, I'll be gutting the airbox until I get the intake. Hopefully I'll notice some performance gain. I tried to take the MAF screen out before and I stopped because it was a PITA.

Its highly recommended you only remove the screen if you have an aftermarket intake. That may be the issue, or maybe something feel back into the TB?
Try some TB cleaner in there for the time being as see how she runs.

I removed my MAF screen about a month or so ago and the results are ok... I seem to have better midrange and high end power... The pedal stompin seems as if it has more authority... LOL... But I don't seem to have any real idle issues... And no stalling either...

I now want an exahust system for the 95 bonneville... But the 91 will be first...
Boat, disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes and the reconnect and let the PCM relearn, it will take about 100 miles or so before the car will act wright... And yeah the car is stronger without that screen... I just tried it to see what would happen on my own car... Now I want more...
