Ok peeps. Got radiator flushed. Tstat changed from 195 to 180°, but didn't drilll it cuz no one ever answered my post regarding drilling, servive eng light went out, but temp still reads 220 help me people!!

Well, GM gauges aren't the most accurate things in the world. It'* possible that your actual temps are lower than that.

Or, it'* possible that you've got an air bubble in the system.

Drilling seems like a good idea if you live in an area that'* not too terrible cold in the winter. Up here in Michigan, I think I might drill a small hole, but not anything crazy.

Drilling the thermostat facilitates in purging the coolant of air. You can still do it now since you didnt put in the holes, you just have to wait until the coolant reaches the temp at which the thermostat will open. Once that happens, open the screw at the top and let it out. Be careful to.

im gonna agree with JMFC on the fact that the gauges are notoriously in accurate. usually in close ball-park range, but rarely on the nose.

I've noticed that every gauge'* needle stays slightly elevated with engine off, except for speedometer. The hose from tstat to radiator keeps swelling, getiing hard to press. It was fine after radiator flush and tstat change, but we took it for a quick spin to check out her boost, and we got home and that hose was bulgy and hard. Still don't know where to drill hole in tstat and how big/deep?

Drill a coupla 1/16" holes around the rim, not through the central part, 180 degrees apart.

Get a scantool on the car and see what the OTHER sensor says. One is for the gauge, one for the PCM.

And yes, you should have drilled.

What'* approx. cost of scantool? Hope it comes with instructions lol I mean we like the car so far, but sheesh it'* hard to grasp this supercharger stuff.

The supercharger simplifies things immensely. And it has no bearing in this case whatsoever.
