Default Hot engine air blowing in through bottom vents

I've got an issue where if I open the windows as im driving, I get hot air blowing on my feet (obviously caused by the cycle of air). Heater is off and the climate controll is not set to blow on the floor, but even with the AC on you can still feel it. What else can I do besides sealing the floor vents up with tape?

Umm I vote no duct tape the bottom vents. You have vacum leak most likely

But I am able to change to the other vents just fine when the AC is on. This doesn't make sense.

Perhaps an air leak through tthe firewall, and you're picking up heat from the engine bay?

I have the same problem, but I haven't done anything about it because I was told it might be the air mix door actuator, and I don't have that kind of time

it could be but if it was the air mix door it wouldn't get cold. . I was reading let make sure I have this correct if you on can select in vent you want if you on heat, but when running the ac you can just get the floor. IT could still be vacum leak, did check the vacum hose to make sure their are in good shape. IT cheap to replace them.

Do you have the 3 **** manual control CC? If so, try turning the hot/cold **** to cold with the fan on low and the control on off. See what happens then. When I have my control off and the temp on heat, some hot air blows in. When set to cool with the control off, I dont notice it

Default hot air

Your air mix actuator linkage could be out of adjustment or there is leaves in the door stopping it from closing all the way.

Is it on both sides or only one?
