Default Howling

Simply that
Slowing down say, from 25 km/h to 0. Brake at any level, there is a higher pitched howling sound, that is fairly audible right to 0. It sounds like it is coming from the left front, it ONLY does it with brakes applied if im doing straight. It will do it making a slower right turn as well.
Brakes are like new front and back, CVs look great, car doesn't pull in any direction, driveability has not decreased at all.

My bet is that if your braking isn't affected, it'* a hub bearing. Now you have to find out for certain which side it is. Or jack each side up and wiggle the wheels to see which one has the most slop. Your other option is the differential.

Check under the hood to see if you've inadvertently t-boned a coyote.

Damned annoying things are all over here.

I'd agree on the wheel bearing.

You have two choices. You can like the airplane sound and keep it. (eventually it'll fail) or you can swap'er out. (Maybe you and Pat can get a multibearing discount...)

It might be more obvious in the cold.
