OK, she'* done!
$855.72 ( BIG chunk of the Tax Return... ) but ---
Following willwren'* good advice was worth every penny.
The brakes have NEVER felt this good.
I didn't know how bad the old ones were until I got this job done.
Now there'* no shimmy or shaking when I step on the pedal --- "shmoooove" !
I got a look at the old drums --- --- and they were terrible.
No meat left, and longitudinal cracks every inch or so all the way around the inside.
Now, we'll just hope everything else holds together for the Summer.
I'll be off starting June 1st with a surgery to fix the arthritic joint in my left thumb.
The driving mileage will be less not having to travel to work every day.
I've got a set of plugs/wires and an oil change to do, and that about does it for now.
