Hi all, I've got a 98 bonneville se, non supercharged. Bought it a week ago and realized the window washer fluid was frozen solid, I assume cuz last owner mixed water in. I added driver fluid and have gotten it unfrozen but its still not shooting any fluid. Any ideas why? It'* been ranging from 20-40 degrees the past few days. Is there any way to make sure that all the pipes and plugs are hooked up properly?

Also, I had to replace the battery. Battery working well but it'* not really secured when I tighten it down. I thought maybe the bolt was rusty so I applied wd40.. But still same problem. I tighten the bolt as far as it will go, but the battery still doesn't secure completely. There shouldn't be any mobility to the battery right? Is the battery too short? Do I need to put something under it to raise it?

Added "de icer"fluid to window washer. Sorry my auto-correct messed that up.

Take a pin and poke it into the nozzles on the wiper arms. That is the smallest cross section in the flow path, and any contaminants that make their way though could easily get lodged there.

Have someone spray while you watch the engine compartment for leaks.

The battery should be tight. Is this the type clamp that is like a plastic wedge you bolt down on one side? If so, place a spacer under the wedge to take up the slack.

Now that I think about it, although the washer bottle is thawed, the lines probably aren't. You probably have to park it in a garage over night to thaw it out, and spray out the rest of the water until the lines have the anti freeze in them. You could also try a hair dryer if you don't have access to a garage.
