Default Loud Tensioner Pulley

Ever since I pulled the belt off to port the LIM, the tensioner pulley has been making noises like the bearings might be going out. I free spun it with the belt off, and it spun freely, but it made the noise. And the spring was noisy too until I pushed it up and down a few times.

Could I spray some white lithium grease in there to quiet it up, or do you think I need to get a new tensioner pulley? It'* just annoying when you start it up in the morning and when you're idling.

I would replace the pulley. You dont want it to freeze up and take out the belt on the highway and then loose your accessories, and possibly have more problems. It shouldn't cost more than $25 at your local autoparts store and it is usually very easy to replace. As far as the tensioner itself I would have to see it to know if it is possibly bad. Check your marks for the belt tension to see if it is within range. I guess it would help to know how old the belt is too.
