Default Traction Control

My "traction active" light comes on upon start up which means its working but it can't be. That light is supposed to come on when I loose traction and it does not. I don't think the system would allow me to roast my tires either. When I push the button as to turn it off the "traction off" light does not come on either. I think that light is burned out all together. As for ABS i'm not sure, there is no warning light but then again it could be just another burned out bulb. I don't care about not having traction control but I was informed by Old Blue Eyes that it might be affecting my ABS, which I do want. Anything else it might be affecting? I gues i'll have to test the ABS.

No light and no TC? Fuse? Just a guess. If your ABS works, your wheel sensors are good. At that point I'd look at electrical connections. And, yes, the TC should not let you roast your tires.

My traction light is on for the first 3-4 miles of driving whenever I start it most times, and I'm not sure why, because I hadn't touched the switch. And I'm not sure if it'* working or not because I can roast the tires just the same weather the light'* on or not. I think we may have the same problem.

Test it out on a dirt road..no gravel, you dont want rock chips, your Trac Active light should come one, and it should retard the ign timing, you will know this when the tach drops down while your foot is on the floor. check all fuses, maxi fuses for the ABS and Trac system they are partners in crime. If it were a wheel sensor or your Traction computer, the idiot ABS and Traction off lights would be on all the time, either that or your ABS and Brake lights.

Yup, my ABS doesn't work either. The light is not on though so there must be a short.
