Is your Gas Guage Wacky
I guess the Gas Guage is a common problem with all GM cars. All the older GM cars that I've ever owned, the gas guage is completely inaccurate especially under a half of tank. For example, I put $20 in the Bonnie today and that put the gas guage right about half way. I then pull out of the gas station, then the gas guage move to the 1/4 mark. On the way home that gas guage is moving all around, not very accurate. The 9c1 that I just sold did the same thing, and it was a 95. I guess all GM older GM cars have this problem. Does anyone else here experience this same problem. It only seems to happen if you have a 1/2 tank of gas.

This is probably "normal," and it drives me nuts. If I brake lightly, gauge starts dropping. Accelerating, my tank magically gets fuller (and yes I know why it happens), but I have never noticed it this bad in any other car. Heck, when I get just under half I can get my car almost into the yellow if I brake sorta hard.

I think the Gage on the dash reads the signal from the tank with no delay, as the fuel sloches around the gage waves at you to let you know its alive and working...LMAO... I think it would help if these cars had a slight delay when it comes to the motion of the fuel gage...
Its funny tho, In the Accord we had a long time ago, and the Mitsubishi we still have, the gages were very slow to move to fuel sloching around... lol
Must be a GM thing, everyone I know with a GM car has this issue...lol
