Question 1994 Bonneville keeps dying.

Hi, I have a 94 Pontiac Bonneville, and it seems to drive great. But it seems that anytime I slow down, or come to a stop the car will die on me. When ever I'm driving the speed limit it seems to drive fine. Is there anyway I'd be able to fix this? Thanks for any help!

Check for vacuum leaks. Spray carb cleaner on the vac lines, around the injectors, where the LIM attaches to the heads, around the EGR valve and around the throttle body. If the RPM changes, you have a leak.

Other things to check are fuel pressure, how old is the fuel filter. Your throttle position sensor, your PCV valve, check the spark plugs and wires, even the air filter.

Not sure how old the full filter is. I just bought it this Saturday for only $800. It seemed like a steal. I'll definitely check everything out. Appreciate the help.

Well it wasn't a Vacuum Leak. I haven't had time to check the rest today after I got it back from the mechanic. It died on me today while I was even driving it. I'm gonna try to check the fuel filter and hope that is what it is.

When it dies does it sputter a bit, or is it like a switch was flipped and it'* dead?

That sounds like a battery cable problem, have you cleaned them?

Alright, I finally got it fixed, costed a pretty penny. Still gotta fix up quite a bit, but they said I should be good for awhile. I gotta get an Oxygen Sensor, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, and Fuel Injection Flush. I'm looking to pay $800 to fix everything. The price I payed for the car. As long as it works well though, I'll be fine.
