Hello everyone, I'm new to the site. Been lurking on and off for a bit but since my Bonne is acting up now finally registered. Thanks in advance for any help and/or tips!!!

I have a '95 SE and am in need of any help I can get. My check engine light is on and every once in a while the check guages light will light up along with the audible tone. Scanner said something about an overheating issue (honestly don't remember exact wording). As I was watching the engine temp on the scanner it shot up to 365 degrees and right back down to 195 in about 2 seconds. At the same time the check guages light lit up with the tone. During this the dash guage never read higher than 200. (slightly below 200).

I replaced the temp sensor today figuring that might be the culprit. No dice, still has same issue. Is it possible the guage cluster is going bad and will a bad cluster cause the check engine light and check guages light to come on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check your coolant level. Almost sounds like air in the system. Also check the plug on the sensor, make sure it'* clean and seated correctly. Check to make sure the coolant is moving freely threw the radiator.

Coolant level is full, plug for sensor was fine but replaced as a precaution. As for coolant moving freely will check in a few.

There'* very little that can cause this, a bad sensor is high on my list but wanted to check teh easy stuff first. 365* is extreamly high. If all looks good then replace sensor
