No power - lights clicking on and off inside - HELP!
Hey guys, recently replaced my fuel pump and couldn't get the car to start. Lowered it down to normal level, it started right up, next day put the fuel filler hose and vent hose on, went to start it..runs for two seconds, dies, and strange clicking noise right near gas pedal constantly. Started pulling fuses while clicking noise was going, pulled 6C for interior lamps and it stopped. Plugged it back in, started up again, then everything in the car died. No power at all except for interior lights blinking constantly, and on the throttle body next to the MAF sensor there is (another sensor I'm guessing?) making a constant grinding noise in time with the lights clicking inside.
Checked the maxifuse relay fuses, fuse block on driver side, everything fine. Lights blink and that sensor clicks constantly even without key on, have to pull the negative cable on battery to get it to stop. What the living hell is going on here?!?

Right now, if I connect the battery, interior lights blink rapidly and the engine light on the left of the instrument panel is solid, plus a low clicking noise from the passenger side near floor under the glovebox. And that sensor, whatever it is, clicks in time on the throttle body unless I unplug it..but then the interior lights continue to click. No power at all otherwise.

Mind you, my situation is a little different from my last thread. I had interior power then, and didn't have the clicking sensor on the throttle body. Now there'* no interior power save for lights blinking rapidly, and the engine light lit up on the dash. Nothing else will come on when I turn the key.

Understood...however your problem started out as one or two little things and has mushroomed.
Interior lighting would be controlled by the body control module...that does not explain the maf or no start.

Well bill, you were right about the grounds. I checked the ground post behind the battery and the wires had corroded off the post due to my old battery getting acid on them. Fixed those, car started right up. I guess all I needed was a lil suggestion from you to make me check that. Thanks a ton!
