Default 93 SE - KNOCK!

Scanned the car and saw up to 4 degrees of knock under heavy accel. From a dead stop to full punch, it peaks at 4 and then very quickly drops off.

So far its been noted that there is...

Possible Vacuum Leak
Probable Exhaust Leak at downpipe
Original Arcing Spark Wires

Maybe Jesse can remember something I forgot that was noted.

How about lower octane fuel and fairly normal reading?

Actually that was running Shell 93 VPower.

And this is not normal. It very noticeably BOGS when it gets hot. Its a whole different car once its cooled back down.

I have. I've tried Regular/Plus and Premium from Kwik Trip, Exxon, Shell, and Philips. Still bogs.

I am still learning about knock so bear with me. The interesting thing with Johns car is that the knock seems to be on the bottom end. When he stepped it down it would jump to 4 then 3, 2, 1. That seems a little different than mine where knock dosen't start until the mid to upper ranges. I think I have also heard that running a higher octane will not help the car unless it needs it. His car also was running at the usual 200 mark on the temp. Not sure if it helps to run at 180 for a decrease in KR. Keep in mind that John does believe that the wires are original and need to be replaced. This could be most of the problem.
