Belt squeal need help
Ok so here'* the story. I replaced my AC compressor with a bypass pulley and after that I get a steady constant squeal that changes pitch with RPM. I thought I might have had a bad belt. Went to Advance Auto and got a Dayco belt and put that on....it worked great for the rest of that day then the next day started squealing again. Also I should mention I just put a new alternator on at the same time as the pulley. I sprayed some wd40 on the smooth side of the belt and the squeal instantly stopped but only lasted for about 30 seconds. I spun all the pulleys and they are all smooth and I also cleaned them all up. I took a pic of my tensioner marks an attached it to this post. Any ideas before I go try the gatorback? I would have got the gatorback but there were none in stock and I just cant stand the noise and figured that dayco would work....my bad....
EDIT: forgot to mention theres no play in the pulleys and also if a sound clip would help I can get one tomorrow

Make sure the belt is on stright and not off by a grove on one of the pulleys. Gatorbacks are good belts. I've installed a few of them and never had any problems.
