Please do not post in the wrong areas of the forum. Please post in 1992-1999 for mechanical problems.

PLEASE DON'T YELL. TURN YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF.

It might need an O2 sensor. Or a fuel pump. Or a fuel pressure regulator, or a fuel filter.
I'd say plugs and wires are a good starting point, and possibly checking your fuel pressure also.

AND...

Do yourself a favor and carefully check your battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Check the connections at the battery and also on the ground ends of your cables. Include looking under the cable boots for corrosion.

Hold on there everyone. (Darn..Lash partially beat me to it)

We haven't seen a Lean Bank One code fixed with an O2 sensor lately.

Cheapest suggestions first on this one. Pull your battery cables and clean both ends of all three cables. When you pull the cables off, remove the rubber boots at the battery terminals as well and ensure the crimps are not corroded.

When the engine is not maintaining good voltage, you can see a variety of codes and issues. P0171 is a dead giveaway of bad connection to me.

The diagnostic tips on P0171 in the FSM say to check and clean all battery cables and grounds.

Additionally.. I'll add.. Lean bank one is information the PCM is receiving from the working O2 sensor saying that the exhaust gasses are lean and the PCM is surpassing it'* normal thresholds to richen the exhaust. Then it throws the code to let you know there'* an issue.

You probably don't have a lot of practice using forums either, so hang in there and listen and learn. You need to pull up your existing thread and try posting a reply to it instead of starting a new thread for each reply.

Do you have an Owner'* Manual?

And where are you located?

OK, well take a good look at those battery cables per the above recommendations and let us know what you find.
