trouble code 0440
my engine light came on and so i took it to auto zone for the guy to scan it and it came up 0440, he then cleared it. The light came back on a few days later, so i did some reading on here, and changed my gas cap. But now i do not know how to clear the code without the scan tool...i tried pulling fuses, unplugging battery cables. I also did some searching on my evap system, and i noticed one of the lines pulls right off of the thing it is plugged into.
here is someone elses picture that shows what i mean.

this thread, page 3, lash'* second picture, the top line just under his pliars, pulls right off what its attached to, but the bottom line does not, could that be the problem???

HI...I'm not sure where you are talking about A pillars. Lash'* problem turned out to be a split or bad piece of vacuum tubing.
Please start off with checking and replacing all tubing on your evap system that looks questionable.

Sorry... 2nd night of only 3 hours sleep and a little fun messing around taking pics of a "light sleeping" Bandit at my place.
My bad.
Yup.. go through all the vac hoses, not just that one. There are also a couple under the airbox that may be hard to see w/o removing it.
