fuel filter change??

Default fuel filter change??

hey all... i was thinking chaning out my fuel filter... i have had the car for about a year (used 1998 ssei) and i was thinking of putting a new one in.... i have changed one before, but that was a differnt car... i was curious to know is there an inertia switch, or a fuel line shut off that i need to trip in order to change the filter.. and what filter is the best... let me know

OEM filters are good. Napa gold filters are good also.

the fuel filter is in front of the rear wheel on the passenger side. I would suggest getting some PB Blaster and start soaking the connection. One side of the filter is a plastic disconnect and the other is screwed onto a hard line.

Sorry...didn't see this til now. Hope you didn't get a "bath" of fuel.

No shut -off switch. You are supposed to bleed the pressure down using a fuel gauge from the valve located on the fuel rail.

Loosen your gas cap.
Remove the engine cover.
Remove the cap from the fuel pressure relief valve
Attach a fuel pressure guage and bleed the pressure down capuring any fuel into a container.
