Default Water in tail light

Upon my car alerting me of a burnt out turn signal bulb I discovered that there was a good amount of water in the tail light. My dad said that one solution would be to drill a small hole in the bottom of it, but he said to see if any of you guys know a better method. Thanks!

Default water in tail light

my 92 did that and it turned out there was microtiny crack in my top part of the lamp where the trunk shuts. i went to a yard and found one cheap.

try looking for a crack or something, see if water is coming through the lightbulb sockets themselves, that could be it too.

this kinda stuff is always fun, good luck

The most likely entry point is the seal between the light assembly and the rear of the car. Take them out, clean the seals and the paint, and apply a little RTV before you reinstall them.

I ended up having both a crack and bad seals on my tails.

Crack was just about the "shopping cart height" (lucky me)

RTVed the seals and crack, good as new........
