Default Clearing codes

[size=24]Anyone know how to clear both the Check Engine Soon light and the ABS light. The reason I ask is when I picked up the car the lights were already on and I don't know if repairs were previously done. In other words I want to start from square one.

Thanks

The 95 is goin to be tricky.. you need an OBD II code reader with OBD 1 harness...

Another way is to pull the battery cable off the car for ( I do it for half hour cause it'* freakin cold out.. and gives you excuse to go back in and warm up )

EDIT: Forgot yours is */C.. was thinkin of the N/A
OBD 1 code reader.. or battery method

EDIT again: YOu can't really clear the ABS light.. its usually caused by other a bad speed sensor ( hub bearing replacement ) and or master brake cylinder issue..
I've been told that only GM Stealership can read ABS code to find out wat is the error for the ABS lght

So if I understand correctly, what your trying to say Drifter is.....disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hour, then reconnect to reset engine light, and only "GM Stealership can read ABS code to find out wat is the error for the ABS lght"

By the way.......how come you changed your location to Bedroom Ontario, why not just say ..........Near Keswick Ontario?

Ok then, is there anyway we can clear the ABS codes so that we can determine whether the problem has been solved?

Figure out the list..post some of the issues and we'll help you clear them up. That'* the only medication we can offer.

Yes! Do yourself a favor and break the issues down to easy-to-digest bites and post them here. Lots of folks here can help with the '95. On-at-a-time is best bet and also doesn't seem so overwhelming.

Guys, I'm taking your advice and making up a repair list but I'm starting a new thread.
