The 97-current Grand Prix takes the same front rotor as our 92-99 Bonnies (according to GMPD.com). GM has a front brake conversion kit for the Grand Prix that upgrades the rotors and calipers to the Impala rotor which is bigger. Ann chance this will fit our cars? It might not be a direct fit, but maybe there is a work around. I know the stock front calipers are different from the GP to the Bonnie, but maybe they mount the same? It would take someone in a parts store to look at the GP, Bonnie and Impala calipers and see what the deal is.

Also, there are a ton of GM applications that use the same rotor as ours. Any chance one of them use a larger pad? The GM mini vans use em and I can imagine with 7 people in there and luggage they expect the brakes to stop those things.

An example here is the GTO owners are using Z06 spec pads because they fit the stock GTO setup but are larger for HD use. Again we would need someone who works or has long time acces to a parts store to look into this.

I've seen threads on LS1.com with GTO owners doing the C5 pad swap. The OE replacement pads i got from Napa don't leave much else to be filled. I know F body brakes use a 1" larger front rotor, and need a new mount for the calipers. A simple adaptor that goes out an inch could do it also.

www.emachineshop.com anyone?
