Default Anyone with L67 / 4T65-E knowledge...Help please

Little background: I did a Supercharge swap - (L67 from a 1997 Bonneville SSEI and the 4T65-E from a 2001 Regal GS Sedan).

If anyone can help with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey fella'*
I finally got my new 4t65-E (from a 2001 Regal GS) hooked up to my L67 (from a 1997 Bonneville SSEI) today.

Everything lined up ok, however, I am experiencing a problem. The car drives in reverse just fine, but it'* a little sluggish while in Drive. Also, I must start the car in what appears to be Reverse (according to the shift selector in the BLT). When I put the car in Park I am able to take the key out, but the car isn't "totally" in Park, as I can still physically push the car forward or back.

I didn't have this problem with the previous trans (4t65-E from the 1997 Bonneville), but I did notice I would have to push the shift **** in Park real hard.

Does anyone have any insight on what could be the problem and how I can get this resolved? Help Please :-?

By the way: The new trans (2001 4t65-E) again came out of a Buick Regal GS with 12000 miles on it, and the car was built, 7/19/2000, and the building plant was GM of Canada (I don't know if this means anything, but since I have the info I thought I would include it).

*** The mechanic that installed this trans (2001 4t65-E) seems to think that if I obtain the "shift cable" from the Regal and install it in my BLT that this will resolve the problem. Has anyone else dealt with anything like this, or again have any insight as to how I can fix this problem.***

Thanks in advance,
