96se - Engine stumbles after warm up
I have noticed lately that every once in a while my motor wants to act like it'* going to die. :( The 3 times I have noticed this it was under the following conditions: Car is stopped, in gear and at full operating temp. Once @ the drive through bank , Fast food drive through, and once at a stop light. The first indication that I get is the idle gets rough, I look at my gauges and the oil pressure, voltmeter, are in the red. The temp is @ 190. This last about 3-5 seconds maybe. Then it just comes out of it..like nothing ever happened. I've owned the car about 1.5 years. Had 77,000 on it when I got it. Have been through the normal stuff, air intake and coolant deal. Just put on a new water pump, tires and all new brake parts. I can't speak to the spark plugs etc. the wires look original. the car runs great except for this. My brother just drove it to Cinnci and back 500 + mile without a problem. Oh yeah all the climate controls are in the off position as well. I rather suspect the gauges dropping are a result of the idle getting rough and loosing rpm. Whadda think??

You should do a full tune up on your car. Plugs, Wires, 02, Serp Belt, Trans Fluid and Filter, Oil change, fuel filter, PcV. After a tune up it seems like it should run fine. :?

thanks bear.....I forgot in the first post that I have done a lot of other things I have just changed the fuel filter, oil& filter, air filter, Serp belt, and PCV. After the tires and brake job, we put the new water pump on. I then had the rad flushed and fresh Anti Freeze installed. Had the oil and filter done then too. I've owned and worked on 3 G/A'* and always wanted a Bonny. I love this car, just paid it off and trying to take good care of it. While I was doing all of this work to it last week I was already thinking, plugs wires etc. I'll go that route for now. It had the original PCV from factory in it. After the replacement I noticed my mileage jump 1.5 - 2 mpg. I've also wondered bout the 02 sensor, as I've read in other post about folks with the intake problems (like me) replace them. I'll replace that too. thanks for the reply. I'll keep watching the forum. There'* some really go members in here helping folks.
