probably a intermediate steering shaft. do a search for that, and it should turn up a lot of results. the shaft is a common problem with no real permenate fix. some gearhead should chime in with some more info.

the intermediats shaft is only on the 2000+ models. You may have worn or loose suspension endlinks

could you put your year and model in your signature so we can help better

Endlinks would be my first guess, too. Easy to check. And yes, please put your year and trim level in your signature so we can help you.

Pending on year.. on Tamara'* 95 SE.. hers was caused by the rubber gromet spacer on the bolt that holds the body to the frame.. they have sheared off and that was wat caused her noise.. From dead stop when you crank the wheel.. you don't hear it.. but when you hit a bump, go from reverse to forward or take a turn a tad spirited we heard it.. something to also consider. But as Bill says.. lets start with the easy, more common, more probably first.

its most likely the endlinks being that it is a 93, Im assuming high miles also, so just take a look at them, and you might want to replace them anyway with Energy suspension endlinks
