Trans Compatibility?
Will a trans from a 96 SSEi go into a 95 SSEi??? What would all have to change?

The tranny in the '96 is should be a 4T65e-HD. I don't believe it'* a 4T60e carryover. If it is, someone please correct me. The 4T65 will not work with the 4T60'* computer or connectors. (If '96 was the first year for the 4T65,) I wouldn't reccommend swapping it in unless the Series II L67 was going along with it.

I agree I would try and go with the tranny tag...
The SSEi'*( 3800 SC ) used the 4T60-E through 96... 97 on 3800SC had the 4T65-E...
In the 3800NA the 4T60-E ran through 97...
In some other models the 60-E ran through 98...

I'm wondering about the wiring harness and the pigtail... It seems through the years that the pinouts changed...
I need a rebuild manual for the 4T60-E
