Default 95 bonneville fuel pump

I'm going to change my fuel pump because the hum from it is getting so loud, is this normal? When you are in the car if you dont have the radio on the hum will get on your nerves real fast. My question is when i looked up the pump at autozone online it said i should change the FUEL PUMP PULSATOR , what the hell is that and do i really need to change it? lol Thanks Alot

It is always best to stay with OEM parts if the wallet allows. If they are similar in price, go for delco.

Even though my car ran fine, I changed the fuel pump for the same reason you are-it was annoyingly loud, and i figured I might as well change it before the car crapped out in BFE and I got a dealer reaming.

I have no idea what a "pulsator" is. My pump was a sealed unit and had no external parts.

FUEL PUMP PULSATOR looks like this and is supposed to smooth out pulses from the pump.
