95 bonneville fuel pump
I'm going to change my fuel pump because the hum from it is getting so loud, is this normal? When you are in the car if you dont have the radio on the hum will get on your nerves real fast. My question is when i looked up the pump at autozone online it said i should change the FUEL PUMP PULSATOR , what the hell is that and do i really need to change it? lol Thanks Alot

Please put SE, SLE or SSE, SSEi in you sig... And which engine do you have... This makes a big diffrence...
On the 95 L36, 3800 Series II the Pump should have the Pulsator built onto it...
Are you getting a Master Parts pump or an AC Delco Pump?

its a bonneville se 3.8, and i dont think its built in the pump because autozone wants to charge me 13.99 for it. i was going to get the master because its in stock, should i go with the ac-delco?

Even though my car ran fine, I changed the fuel pump for the same reason you are-it was annoyingly loud, and i figured I might as well change it before the car crapped out in BFE and I got a dealer reaming.
I have no idea what a "pulsator" is. My pump was a sealed unit and had no external parts.

If you can see where the tube goes into the pump, thats the pulsator, on the AC delco unit its part of the pump
