From what I am told, it is the coupler. I am sure that one of the other guys will be able to provide you with a link containing the details for R & R of the coupler.

The SC has no timing. Unless you mean the rotors are hitting. But if the SC rotor drive gears were messed up, IF it ran, it would be VERY loud.
