Default 94 bonneville ..clunk in rear

I just purchased a 94 bonnie and it has a clunk in the left rear. 144,000 miles. The owner told me it was the top strut mount.? How can I be sure its that and not possiblely the swaybar and bushings? Also would it be the right thing to do if i do replace the top mount should i go ahead and replace both rear struts. It does seem to float a little. I have only driven it maybe 4 miles as of yet. I am picking it up in 3 days. ANy help will be appreciated.
Thanks

It also might not hurt to take it to your local mechanic before you're committed. Typically, though there is a charge (here, about $50-$65) for the service of them giving it a once over, they will let you apply part of all of it toward any service you have done immediately after purchase. It'* also quite helpful, as in your situation, where you've already driven it and have something specific to point out to them so that they may inspect any potential problem areas further.

Default 94 SE clunk in rear evaluation...........

Well I picked up the car and started eliminating things. Turned out to be the lower control arm bushings left rear making the loud clunking. When I had someone push the suspension up and down I could feel the clunk in the rear most bushing/mount. Do these need to be pressed in and out or can I get away with doing this easily? Also I probally should swap out that ball joint? If I dont have to have these pressed in or out can I get away with not getting a strut compressor? I'm guessing not!
