1994 bonne acceleration problem
Hello all i just bought a 1994 bonne with 117,327miles. the car had little to no acceleration when i got it and also an exhaust leak. after closer examination i found that an animal had lived under the hood and decided to eat the fuel injectors wires to 2 of the cylinders. after reconnecting the wires the car is running alot better. i also installed new spark plugs and wires. from a dead stop the car fells like its gonna stall for about a second or 2 then it accelerates it also doesnt have wot. b.c the car was running without 2 cylinders and the original spark plugs where in there is there a chance that the cat could be clogged? or the o2 sensor have gone bad? to me the o2 sensor doesnt look original and the wires going to it look kinda new but that could be b/c i steamed cleaned the enigne. any help would be appreciated

Scan it for codes for starters, Autozone in the U.* can do this for you.
My guess is, if its stumbling around at WOT in gear, it could very well be your CAT Converter, crawl under the car, and kick it firmly a few times, do you hear rattling like there is broken parts in there? MY 93 had this problem, had it replaced with a high performance one for about 150 bucks.
Another suggestion, test, or have your TPS and MAF sensors tested. There readings should be consistent as the throttle is opened. This is much better tested on a scan tool rather than a digital multimeter.
Get a chiltons repair manual for your car, BIG help, trust me! 20 bucks Wal-Mart.
EDIT: Also you said it was running only on 4 for a while, change the 02 sensor, will help for fuel econ, and will also help it run better...from my experience anyways.

If animals have gotten into the engine bay you may have "Troubles with Tribbles" here! (older members may get it). You need to check your air intake if you haven't (favourite place). Check every wire within the engine compartment including vacuum lines. This may seem tedious but it is necessary. If everything is fine then you do need to check for stored codes and post them. If there are no codes stored, an excellent indication of how the engine is running is by the spark plugs. Pull each one and have a digital pic taken of each and post.

hey guys thanks for the replies.
SSEmatt when i tap the cat it does sound like something is broken or loose. one of my friends had an idea to just cut it right in front of the car and run the car to see what happens. to me i dont see a different i just hear a hell of alot of noise. as for being able to take it to autozone i just got it so it doesnt have any plates so i cant drive it there. Even though the check engine lights not on the computer could still hold a code? If the TPS was bad wouldnt it just idle crazy?
BonnieCanuck i went through the whole engine compartment and checked all my wires im good to go there. i also steamed everything to be able to see what im workin with so its very clean in there too. i could take a pic of the spark plugs but i dont know how to post it. but from what i see they were def running leann
when i rewired the fuel injector wires one of the 2 was eatin right at the end so i just dropped a dot of sodder on it to get the wire to hold does anyone know where i can get a new injector harness and wire??
