My Bonnie is a 96 se normally aspirated. Last night when I got home I noticed it running rough at idle, then the CEL came on. Today checking it out, cleared the codes and the first one flashed 55 times. I cleared it again and it flashed 29 times then 87 times. I did some researched through the forums and it looks like 55 could have something to do with the EGR? Before I cleared any codes it did also flash 42 times. Help!!! please.

Being a 96, you should be OBD2 and need a code scanner to get codes. If you were doing a flash test, was it the CCR or ride performance buttons that you were looking at?

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The car was in park sitting still in my garage. I was counting how many times the CEL flashed.
Today I stopped at Auto zone for a scan, it came up PO300, random misfires. It seems to clear up somewhat after 2000rpms, or maybe its just getting faster???? I'm gonna pull all plugs and check wires but they are about a year old.

I pulled all the spark plugs and visually checked the wires, all good. I thought maybe a coil, but I'm not sure what my readings should be on a good one. Any suggestions? Shorted across the input, shorted across the two outputs.

Today I bought a test light. The High/low voltage type. I checked all the coil outputs with the inductive high side of the test light. It clearly showed #3 as radom misfires. I moved the coil to the 2&5 position and the problem moved with the coil. I purchased a new coil. It didn't help. A tested all the wires again but observed much closer how the light on the tester flashed. Now it seems to happen on at least three of the six wires maybe more. Is there a way to check the coils with an ohm meter? What else do I look for? Crank trigger pickup? Do I have to remove the Crank pulley?

Yes, using the ohm setting touch the two posts of a coil. Compare that to the other two coils. Any one that stands out as much different than the other two is considered bad. In your car I think the typical ohms would be in the area of 5.1 to 6.0

I checked them all. The're infinate according to my ohm meter. I give up. I'm gonna bring it in to a mechanic freind of mine while I go on vacation next week. He has the tools to figure it out, so I don't spend too much $$$ on misdiagnoses.
