Movement in drivetrain while starting from a STOP
Anytime I am at a dead stop and I give it gas I feel a " hop" where there is some kind of play in the drivetrain. It seems like it may be an engine mount.. The front of the car moves up and then it accelerates. ( any typical probloems that you have encontered, or ways to check ? )
If i accelerate slowly you dont so much notice it all, but i think it is playing a part in my WOT acceleration while already moving.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Open the hood, have a friend watch the engine (from a safe position, like the side) while you start the engine, set the park brake, stand hard on the service brakes, put it in gear and apply some throttle. If you have bad mounts, you will see the engine twist up and around to a degree that is decidedly not normal. Compare the motion to a similar engine with good mounts. Don't try this while parked right behind your Dad'* new CTS!
