Changing The Water pump COMPLEATED
It started to whine and make a growling noise today and it got much worse not long ago. I removed ther belt to turn it by hand and u can feel that it is without a doubt the bearing.
Its 71 bux so im gunna change it tonight along with new belts and coolant.
The thing that concearns me is that Axis mount located just to the side of the water pump, what is the procedure for removing that? Do i need to put a jack under my engine inorder to lift it up a hair so i can remove it compleatly?

That sounds perfect, Except I would break the water pump pulley bolt loose before I took the belts off.
BTW, the four bolts that are right by the coolant passages need to be torqued to 29 LB FT, the rest to 97 LB IN.

Okay, heres the update:
Me and dad did exactly as the chilton told us, we Removed the SC tensioner, Alternator, loosed off the PS pump so it just hangs there, removed the lower tesnioner, idler pulley, and we removed all but one bolt from the Water pump. The last bolt is on the bottom left and is half coverd by that huge braket that the PS pump, Alt, and tesnioners attach too. In order to remove this braket you must remove all the bolts hold it on to the engine. We did so, But it still wont budge. There is in inlet line and an outlet line going into the block right were the water pump is, they are stiff steel and wont move, they are semi attached to the accesory braket (the huge one). Im curious as to if we missed any bolts? We've spend HOURS on it, and we went over it carfuley and yet, still no more bolts to be removed. Wow, what a freakin mess.
Any one ever done this on a 93? Im pretty convinced its diffrent.

Yup, i finished it today. My dad was able to leave the heater core hoses in and still have just enough room to get that last bolt out. Holy crap what a job that was! NEVER AGAIN! lol
