Will not stay running.
93 buick PA. 3800 NA.
This morning, when i started the car, I noticed the idle dropped momentairly, then came right back up, and the car was working normally. The second i pulled out of the driveway and released the throttle, the engine died. Its been doing it all morning, had a hard time getting the car to the shop, had to just keep the throttle open enough to keep it from dying. The car runs good, smooth power, shifts in all gears.
Checked the IAC, the spring and (pintle?) fell out when i turned the key on, so i tried another IAC, and still no luck. The EGR is working good, no leaks in either 3 of the pintle holes.. Fuel pressure is 48 and drops to 40-45 running. It also holds pressure really well, so i've ruled that out.
I have the use of a Genesis scantool, and i am going to do a little poking arounds there, but what should I watch for? I do have engine cranking signal as the scantool shows rpms while cranking, and i get spark to each cylinder..
I've done the fuel filter, plugs, wires, cleaned the TB a year ago so i'm running out of ideas here. I'm gonna go home and grab another IAC and see if that fixes it, but other than that, i'm outta luck here..
Any suggestions?

Depending on what part of the country you are in.. if you have gotten a lot of rain or cold, it'* possible you have some condensation. Bascially water in the tank.

Yes we've had lots of rain lately. Just did a transmission, and checked all the wires and ground straps.
Filled the tank last sunday, so its at 3/4 tank now. How would water get in the tank??
Put in another IAC from an older 3800, but it didn't make much of a difference. It will work good when its fired up, but after a few mins, just doesn't want to stay running. Sometimes, hot or cold, it won't stay running at all unless you hold the throttle open.. This morning, starting it, i could not keep it running, and while i had it at 1500 to 2000 rpms there was a bit of a stumble in the engine, but that smoothed out after a few secs. Then after that, the idle just revved up and down constantly. I could put it in gear, but it'd still do it. This is driving me nuts especially when i need the car for work!!
Don't think there'* much you guys can do as evident by the overwhelming number of replies i got... lol

It was the MAF sensor. Pulled it out and the first filament was coated with corrosion. Went to the yard and paid 20 bucks for a new one. Its running good now. New MAF woulda cost 220 dollars!!!! :o
