yeah i had that problem with my old 92 se and my 1994 ssei. Just turn the car on and go to the door that has the problem. As you hold down on the window switch, hit the door panel with some quick firm hard raps with your fist. A few of those should free it up.

More help please. My For Sale sign just went in the window and the left pass. window switch stopped working at the same time . Now stuck in the down position.

Yesterday neither front door Master switch or the "culprit" door switch will not operate the window. Tried several times. Even did the "fist" trick. Today, for the heck of it, I tried the front door master switch again, trying to operate that rear window. She went down once and stayed there. Now she won't come back up. This window hasn't been operated more than 20 times since new so I doubt it is the motor. Worn out switch? Doubt it for the same reason. I notice that the rear switch will not operate the window either. All other windows work from the master switch in the driver'* door though. Just not the rear left pass.

The book says, "The most likely cause of one window not working is a defective window switch."

Question: IF THE REAR WINDOW SWITCH IS DIRTY, CORRODED, ETC. , WHY WOULD THE FRONT MASTER SWITCH NOT WORK THEN?

Default window

I had a similar problem with my front passenger window( it would go down but not up) Replacing the switch fixed it. In your case- it is hard to tell which one. Try swapping switches between doors to see if that makes a difference. They are easy to pry out.

in my case, its been a burnt spot on the window motor'* coil. turn your key to accsy, sit in that back seat, hold the window button down, and open and shut the door. that should jar it enough. if not shut it harder... if that doesn't do it, then i'm not sure...

Followup to rear window problem. I checked the switch. Carried current just fine. Each time I switched it I could hear a very slight clicking noise from the area of the motor. Oh boy, I burned out motor I thought. How could that be? :?

Off comes the door (man those things are constructed much better than any import I've owned; well insulated and sheeted over on the inside with a very tough polymer sheet). Then the motor. Pretty easy to get to. Three screws. Pulled right off. In a past life I designed and built electric motors so I thought I'd tackle it. At midnight I got inside the guy. VERY well-built motor. Permanent magnet so there is no coil to burn out. Only rotor windings. Didn't need to go that far. I tried to turn the rotor a bit and it felt like it was slightly stuck. I turned a little harder and it freed right up and then turned easily. I inspected the bearing shafts. They were perfect with like-new grease on them. No crud. Still don't know what caused it to stick. I reassembled everything. The window works perfectly now. I guess it just needed to be worked more. As I said that window hadn't seen 10 revolutions since '92. All appears well now.

Thanks for the input gents. :P
