security light
Today while I was sitting in the parking lot waiting to walk into work I noticed my security light was on. The car starts and runs just fine. so I have no clue what it could be. any ideas would be great since its annoying to drive with at night. thanks in advance

Remove the carpet under the trunk lid (if you have it). Disconnect the electrical connector on the mechanical cable coming from your trunk lock cylinder.
Is the light still on?
The tamper tab on the rear lock cylinder can fail with age and break off, telling the car someone has tried to slide-hammer your trunk lock.

My security light is on for a year now.
Disconnecting trunk cable didn't help and I don't want to disassemble door.
Sec light doesn't affect driveability so I let it stay as it is now.
