Default Bonnies and their engines.question about interchanging parts

Which year models have interchangeable engines? Or will any 3800 fit into any other car that had a 3800?

will a 3800 engine from a 93 and up fit into a 92 bonneville?

will a 3800 engine from a bonnie 91 adn below fit into a 92?

which ones work in a 92 with the least hassel?

thanks

What motor? Supercharged or not?

If it'* not supercharged, 92-94 are interchangeable with each other.

If it'* supercharged, 92 and 93 are interchangeable, and 94 and 95 are interchangeable.

ok thanks..so if I have a supercharged blown engine I couldn't swap in a non-supercharged one?

also what are 231 and 181 and series 2 and series one..what are the classifications of those numbers....what makes a car fall into each category..IF there is somewhere I could go and read upon all this information let me know and add a link please..as I know all of these questions have been asked before..

.thanks

No, if you're supercharged now, and you want to put in a new non-supercharged, you need the entire engine wiring harness and PCM also, and as far as I know, nobody has ever attempted this yet.

If you're supercharged, and it'* a 92 or 93, either year will do for you (93 preferred for the better valvetrain). If you're 94 or 95, either will do, but NOT a 92/93.

You left alot out. That'* only NA. SC is different. And we're talking Bonnevilles, so confusing the issue with 3.1 and 3.3 doesn't help much.

SC series 1 L67 goes all the way THRU 95, where NA does not.

Really strong Bacardi?

Don't really know, but I'd rather not confuse the issue any further for the poor girl, so can we keep this on topic?
