Default Trans temp sender tap port.

I have a set of triple gauges (oil pressure, volts and temp) I am going to custom mount in my '95 Olds. Since I already have a water temp gauge, I was looking at using the new temp gauge to monitor the trans temps. Easy way would be to tap into the existing cooler lines but that would take some adapters and a tee to go from flare to pipe back to flare. Currently , I have a in line cooler and doing that would not be a big challenge. But, short of welding a bung in the pan, is there another port that I can use to install the temp sensor that dosen't involve line pressures?
