abs and traction light
my abs light came on as well as the traction control light.. probably a wheel sensor is what i thought.
took it to the mechanic.. he scans it ..yes open circut front left wheel.
he tells me its an enclosed unit i have to buy entire hub assembly.. so $460.00 later i drive off
this was tax labor, parts, scan total.
today ,, driving along a dry road , sun is shining.. i hear what sounds like the noise the traction control makes when engaging (just for a sec or two) like a buzzin .. and the lights are on again.
they missed something.
i took it back today , showed the guy , he asks me to bring it back tues , they will rescan.
any ideas???

My idea is to get it scanned again. That'* the only way to know. Other than that, disconnect all 4 wheel speed sensors, clean the contacts on both sides of each, and apply dielectric grease. That'* about all you can do.
The hub he replaced is under 100 bucks, and not hard to change. You need a half-inch breaker bar, 34mm axle nut socket, and a T-55 torx bit. Should take a first-timer less than an hour.

it could be broken wire
i just put a WSS in my 2000 SLE here it was a broken wire right at the plug that goes to the wss plug, so look very close and hard at yours before you spend the $115 as i did.good luck ! my friend that works at the dealership said 9 out of 10 times its the wire .feel with your fingers over the factory heat shink also for a broken wire !

took the car back to the mechanic today..
they rescanned and did not find anything,, they told me to drive it and let them know if it comes back on .
they think the tech forgot to clear the codes when he finished the job.
on a side note , i drove the care on a 45 min trip both streets and hiway..
no lights on sunday.. perhaps it was just a code that had to be cleared.
